Big Digital Machine
Herman B Wells Library, room E174 (IUB)
Presenter: Robert McDonald, Associate Dean for Library Technologies, IU Digital Library Program
A digital library brown bag presentation:
Many of us on the IU campuses have been hearing talk about the concept
of the Big Digital Machine (BDM) at IU. This concept has been developed
over the past two years by our CIO and Vice-President for Information
Technology Brad Wheeler. This DLP Brownbag session will look at how the
BDM concept is being applied to the Empowering People Information
Technology Strategic Plan currently being implemented by the
university. Topics covered will concern strategic system-wide
infrastructure as well as joint initiatives between the Libraries and
UITS which will be leverage points for the facilitation of the BDM
concept and its application to the Indiana University System.
